Reply by Russ White on July 5, 2008 - Whenever I observe a magnificent sunset or rainbow, I wonder if the Good Lord called on Alden "Bucky" Summers to give him a hand with the layout. Bucky was one of the unsung heroes of the Star's sports staff. He created many of the marvelous layouts for the sports sections in the New Look Star of the 1970's. Whenever I did a takeout piece in sports, Bucky's the one who asked if he could design the first sports page. His work was unique. Nice fellow, too.
